She Led The Way
$14.99Add to cartBorn into slavery, Rebecca Crumpler became the first Black female physician in America. Stuntwoman Bessie Coleman was the first Black person in the world to obtain a pilot’s license. The work of Harlem Renaissance sculptor Selma Burke can be found on the American dime. The calculations of NASA mathematician Katherine Goble Johnson were critical to the success of US manned spaceflight.
These Black women and many more overcame tremendous obstacles and prejudices to make their mark on American history. In She Led the Way, you’ll read their inspiring stories and the stories of ten more innovative, courageous, artistic, and driven women who broke through barriers of gender and color in order to reach their goals and fulfill their potential in a world that was too often indifferent and even hostile. Includes illustrations.
Gates Of Hell
$29.99Add to cartThe gates of hell shall not prevail.
Decimated by war, revolution, and famine, the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Russia was in critical condition in 1921. In The Gates of Hell, Matthew Heise recounts the bravery and suffering of German–Russian Lutherans during the period between the two great world wars. These stories tell of ordinary Christians who remained faithful to death in the face of state persecution.
Christians in Russia had dark days characterized by defeat, but God preserved his church. Against all human odds, the church would outlast the man–made sandcastles of communist utopianism. The Gates of Hell is a wonderful testimony to the enduring power of God’s word, Christ’s church, and the Spirit’s faithfulness.

Fierce Mercy : Daring To Live Out God’s Compassion In Bold And Practical Wa
$16.99Add to cartAbby Johnson thought she knew what mercy was when she ushered desperate women toward abortion as the director of a Planned Parenthood facility. She was wrong. It wasn’t until she understood the blood on her hands that she personally experienced the power of God’s fierce yet tender mercy to transform her life. But she never imagined what could happen once she allowed that very mercy to infiltrate her life and spill out into a hurting world.
In Fierce Mercy, Abby calls you to experience a transformation of your own. Against the backdrop of her first decade involved in the pro-life movement, Abby helps you discover God’s unrestrained mercy at work in your own life and take steps toward becoming a channel of that life-changing mercy in the world around you. She shows you how to model God’s mercy, freely offer mercy to those who seem undeserving, respond with mercy when others err or offend, and bear witness to God’s unrestrained compassion so that others may know him.
This is Abby’s challenge to you: dare to do what is hard, what is right, and what is good. And do all of it in love.
Hiding Place : An Engaging Visual Journey
$16.99Add to cartThe Hiding Place is Corrie ten Boom’s personal story of faith, forgiveness, and love for the persecuted Jewish community during the World War II Nazi invasion and occupation of Holland. Part of an underground resistance movement, Corrie and her family risked their lives to hide Jewish friends within a secret wall space of the Beje, their beloved clock shop and home in Haarlem, Netherlands. Her heroic actions eventually led to her arrest and imprisonment at Ravensbruck, the German Reich’s largest concentration camp for women.
For the first time, the ten Boom family’s heart-wrenching story of sacrifice and survival is presented as a special edition complete with rare family photos, accents of Dutch Delft-style design, artwork by Dutch artists, and personal ephemera. Hand-lettered inspirational quotes and Scripture combined with artwork reminiscent of World War II Europe make The Hiding Place come alive like never before.
Spirit Of A Revolution
$19.99Add to cartIn the years leading up to the Revolutionary War, the American colonies are teetering on the brink of disaster. With the threat of unbridled control by the British Parliament, Boston patriots seek to overturn their Motherland’s tyrannical practices.
William Molineux, a rabble-rouser and little-known figure in American history, resists Britain’s oppressive ways so colonists can live in the land of the free and be masters of their own destiny. The struggle for freedom in prerevolutionary Boston-by real people with hopes, dreams, and families-is eerily similar to what Americans face in the opening decades of the twenty-first century.

Explorations In Asian Christianity
$50.00Add to cartAsia is the birthplace of Christianity. If Christianity is not usually seen as an Asian religion, that is because the history of Christianity in Asia has long been a difficult one. Whereas Christianity in the West received royal support, Asian Christianity has led a more nomadic and exilic existence. Today it is the least Christianized region of the world. Scott W. Sunquist is a recognized expert on the history of the Christian faith in Asia. Over the years he has published and spoken frequently on this theme. Explorations in Asian Christianity gathers his key writings on the topic and organizes them into four main categories: surveys that look at Asian Christianity in broad perspective, historical investigations that look at how Christianity shapes our understanding of history and historiography, missiological studies that look closely at issues of place, and finally essays on theological education. Topics explored in this volume include Ecumenism in AsiaThe cruciform nature of ChristianityA missiology of placeThe Christian view of timeGlobal migrationExplorations in Asian Christianity sheds light on one of the most important but least well-known areas in Christian history.

If You Can Keep It
$26.00Add to cartFrom the #1 “New York Times”bestselling author Eric Metaxas comes “If You Can Keep It,” a new book that is part history and part manifesto, steeped in a critical analysis of our founding fathers’ original intentions for America. Two hundred and forty years after the Declaration of Independence, it examines how we as a nation are living up to our founders’ lofty vision for liberty and justice.
“If You Can Keep It” is at once a thrilling review of America’s uniqueness, and a sobering reminder that America’s greatness cannot continue unless we truly understand what our founding fathers meant for us to be. The book includes a stirring call-to-action for every American to understand the ideals behind the “noble experiment in ordered liberty” that is America. It also paints a vivid picture of the tremendous fragility of that experiment and explains why that fragility has been dangerously forgotten and in doing so it lays out our own responsibility to live those ideals and carry on those freedoms. Metaxas believes America is not a nation bounded by ethnic identity or geography, but rather by a radical and unprecedented idea, based upon liberty and freedom. It’s time to reconnect to that idea before America loses the very foundation for what made it exceptional in the first place.”Greek English New Testament
$69.99Add to cartThe most widely used edition of the Greek New Testament and the most widely read contemporary English Bible translation are now available in one volume! Featuring the UBS 5 critical text (with the full apparatus) and the New International Version, this reference volume stands to become the standard edition for translators and students. Like the 28th edition of the Nestle-Aland Novum Testamentum Graece, the UBS 5 text is the leading edition of the original text of the New Testament. It contains the same Greek text as NA28, differing only in some details of punctuation and paragraphing. The critical apparatus includes exegetically significant variants (fewer than NA28) but adds extensive manuscript evidence (more than NA28) for each variant, thereby offering in-depth instruction for students on how variants and the evidence for them work together. The readings of the newly discovered Papyri 117 – 127 have been incorporated into this edition, thereby opening up interesting perspectives particularly for the Acts of Apostles. A special focus of the revision was on the Catholic Epistles, which included more than thirty modifications in the reading text and resulted in a new selection of witnesses for the textual apparatus, in addition to modifications of the selection of apparatus units. Bound with a sturdy flexicover, this edition was typeset with a new, aesthetically appealing and readily legible Greek font. Additional features of the Greek-English New Testament include:

Every person of faith will come closer to God through these pages, and religious skeptics will see many of their own questions explored in depth. Spivey also presents a concise history of the Korean War with overviews, maps, and photographs giving new insights into why America fought this war and the incredible results over the following decades. This unique combination of front line drama, coupled with the broader historical context of the conflict, gives a picture of war and combat unavailable in other histories. Unto A Good Land Volume 2
$46.00Add to cartUnto a Good Land offers a distinctive narrative history of the American people – from the first contacts between Europeans and North America’s native inhabitants, through the creation of a modern nation, to the 2004 presidential election. Written by a team of highly regarded historians, this textbook shows how grasping the uniqueness of the “American experiment” depends on understanding not only social, cultural, political, and economic factors but also the role that religion has played in shaping U. S. history.
While most United States history textbooks in recent decades have expanded their coverage of social and cultural history, they still tend to shortchange the role of religious ideas, practices, and movements in the American past. Unto a Good Land restores the balance by giving religion its appropriate place in the story.
This readable and teachable text also features a full complement of maps, historical illustrations, and “In Their Own Words” sidebars with excerpts from primary source documents.

Nahum-Malachi : Holman Old Testament Commentary
$19.99Add to cartThe Holman Old Testament Commentary has two volumes on the minor prophets that came to be so called because of their size but not their importance. This volume contains commentary on the last six of the minor prophets. Despite the fact that each of the 12 books of the Minor Prophets were written at different times and places, sometime in the development of the Hebrew canon, these twelve books were bound together in one scroll. Over time, they came to be called “The Twelve.” Some Old Testament scholars have argued that there is an overall structure to Minor Prophets. Paul House argues that the first six books, Hosea to Micah have sin as their theme. Nabum, Habakkuk, and Zephaniah emphasize punishment while Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi focus on restoration. In this commentary, Steven Miller makes clear the message and enduring relevance of each of these six prophets.
In The New American Commentary and in Shepherd’s Notes , has served as a translator of the Holman Christian Standard Bible, and has written extensively for Southern Baptist Bible study curriculum. Steve and his wife Paula have two daughters, Miriam and Rachel.
